Bumble And Bumble Classic Hairspray

Sunday, August 19th, 2007

Bumble And Bumble Classic HairsprayThis is a classic hairspray that should be sitting on every girl’s dressing table. It’s a really controlling substance that you can use on hair that is living large or even just for taming those straying manes. Unlike your regular supermarket hairspray that leaves your hair so crispy and knotted that you have to stand for half an hour trying to brush it out, this hair lacquer brushes out easily.

It comes out in a fine mist and will leave no residue or that horrible flakiness you get with some hairsprays and can be used on all hair types for a strong hold. Available from the Bumble and bumble website it costs £15 – a bit expensive for such a small can of hairspray but if it’s going to hold your hair style all night then it’s totally worth it.

Heat Defence SprayI have really curly hair and I hate it so I’m always straightening it, but we all know doing this too often does a lot of damage to your hair so we need to protect it as much as possible. This iron-it heat defence spray does exactly that, it will protect your locks from heat damage when using straighteners and even curling tongs. It will also condition your hair and leave it looking smooth and shiny.

Toni & Guy’s red and white range offers a lot of different products for all types of hair. They even have shampoo and conditioner to detox your hair if its in serious need of some help. This item comes in a 200ml bottle and costs just £5.49. They have many salons all over the country so you can pop in store and pick some up or browse on their website.

Ghd Travel BagGhd’s happen to be my favourite hair straighteners and with this travel bag you get so much for your money. Even though summer is on its way out, this summer travel bag is ideal for all year round. It includes the versatile ghd straighteners, that come in their own heat resistant pouch, ghd shampoo and conditioner, a heat protector for your hair, a sea spray and a polishing serum.

The best thing about ghd’s is that they don’t just straighten your hair, you can also use them to give your hair a wave, bouncing curls and flicks.

Style with Molton Browners

Monday, August 13th, 2007

Molton BrownersI don’t know about you but all this heat styling and summer sun is not doing my hair any good, so I have been looking for ways to still create curls and waves but in a more natural, less damaging way and I think I have found the answer; Molten Browners!

I was obviously searching Molten Browns website, not for hair care I must admit but during my search I did happen to come across these hair friendly curlers that create texture without drying out your hair. Simply roll, twist and leave for luscious waves or leave a bit longer for beautiful curls. They’re really quick and easy to use and the outcome is surprisingly effective! So if your hair is suffering from over styling with heat appliances or just needs a bit of T.L.C after a long summers holiday, treat yourself to a bundle of Molten Browners for £29!

Big & Bigger

Friday, August 10th, 2007

Big & BiggerSick of having fine hair that has seen better days? This Fashionista Big & Bigger from Catwalk will bring back the volume you’ve been missing. You can use on wet hair before styling and it’ll leave you with a firm hold, or even scrunch into dry hair for that ‘just got up’ look. Humidity resistant, it’s perfect for when you’re on your holidays.

I’ve got so much hair that I’m permanently having to get it thinned out, but I know for those of you who have thin locks, you’re probably wishing it was thicker – us girls are never happy with what we’ve got!

This product can be used on all hair types and is colour safe with a blueberry muffin fragrance. It comes in a 200ml bottle, costs just £10 and is available from most hair salons or tigihaircare.com.

Dumb Blonde Shampoo

Friday, August 10th, 2007

Dumb Blonde ShampooBeing called a dumb blonde can sometimes be quite offensive, but having a whole range of products named after us can’t be a bad thing can it. Maximum shine serumCharles Worthington really does some great products; this Maximum Shine Serum has got to be one of their better buys. Ever feel that even though you’ve just washed your hair it doesn’t have that shine you were after? This serum not only adds a glossy shine but keeps those fly aways at bay as well. It also has a built in UV filter to protect your locks from the sunshine.

As part of the new Salon Shine range, the Gloss Polish and Gloss Spray are both recommended to use for better results. Clari Tweeze

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

Clari TweezeFor me waxing is a no-no, so I stick to my trusty tweezers. But I just never feel as though they have been done properly. With these magnifying and illuminating tweezers, we should all be able to do as good a job as any beautician. They have a built in LED light and two magnification lenses to help spot those stragglers and also come with a carry pouch included in the price.

Available from boots or JMLdirect.com at just £7.99 these have got to be one of my new favourite products. Advertised as The Genius Tweezer! That says it all. Some A listers prefer a thick statement brow but they still need grooming. I think these are a wicked little invention, I know how frustrated I get when I’m trying to do my eyebrows in broad daylight and I still can’t see what I’m doing properly!
