Turn Up The Volume

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

Full Volume ShampooThis Full Volume Shampoo by Charles Worthington will plump up your hair, so if your locks are looking a bit flat and lifeless you need to get your hands on these products! The shampoo will enhance volume without weighing it down and cleanse your hair gently to reveal its natural gloss and vitality.

The conditioner is available in the same range so use this afterwards to give your hair a well deserved lift. Charles Worthington recommends using the Mineral Hair Spa Rescue Treatment with these to give your hair some extra special care. The shampoo comes in a funky bright pink tub - this is what caught my attention! Available for £4.49.

Braun Satinliner Hair StraightenersUs girls are always saying “the hotter, the better” but that only applies to us and definitely not our hair! These Satinliner Hair Straighteners from Braun have been designed to release a stream of negatively charged ions to neutralise any positively charged ions in our hair, leaving it frizz free with a natural shine. Clever stuff hey!

They will deliver perfect styling at a hair friendly temperature that won’t damage your hair. According to statistics on Braun’s website, 80% of women have confirmed that the Satin Hair range has made their hair noticeably shinier and smoother than any other styling appliance. The Braun Satinliner Hair Straighteners are available from Amazon for £46.66.

Swarovski Crystal Headband

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007

Swarovski Crystal HeadbandI didn’t realise Swarovski produced hair accessories until today. I have just been over to their website and they have all kinds of different hair clips and bands, all absolutely gorgeous of course. This particular headband is in a delightful silver shade with three rows of silver shade crystal mesh on Alcantara, with Rhodium plated details.

It comes with an adjustable elastic band at the back of the hairpiece so you can have it fitted to your exact head size. Its size is 52cm and it costs a whopping £75. Then again for those of you that are diamond divas it is certainly worth it… it looks amazing. You can view all of their hair accessories on the Swarovski Website, they also sell jewellery and different collectables.

Bed Head SuperficialSuperficial from Bed Head is a must for colour treated hair, it is a smoothing liquid that will leave your hair silky and shiny. This highly concentrated formula will mend those ragged ends and will leave your hair with a diamond like shine. To be used on wet hair and style as normal, it will also cut down your drying time and help damaged hair regain its natural appearance.

Superficial can be used on all hair types and its strawberry lemonade fragrance will leave your locks smelling lush! Use this product to give your hair that just-washed look, leaving it looking healthy, shiny and silky smooth. I was first drawn to this product because of its bright purple colour and funky bottle. Currently available at Amazon.co.uk for £10.49.

A Load Of Bull

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007

BullApparently Hari’s salon in Knightsbridge, London has recently started using Bulls semen to style their customers’ hair! Ugh! Sounds disgusting, but this it is actually a really good hair conditioning treatment. The salon has taken note of Cameron Diaz’s style, remember there’s something about Mary? The comedy? When Cameron’s character Mary accidentally used sperm to style her hair.

The treatment takes around 45 minutes and gives your hair an intensive conditioning experience. The product is made of semen from Aberdeen Angus bulls in a Cheshire farm and the root of a katera plant. The owner of the salon Mr Salem has been searching for the perfect product for a long time and now he has started using this he says it really works. The treatment costs £55, check out www.metro.co.uk for the full article.

Mascara With Attitude

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007

Bad Gal Lash MascaraThis bad girl mascara has a lot of attitude. It is made by Benefit and they describe it as being the thickest, sexiest and richest mascara you will find. It has a big bad brush and a rich black formula. It will give a very similar effect as wearing false eyelashes, without the hassle of having to glue them on.

Usually I look for waterproof mascara but I have recently discovered that it damages your eyelashes, leaving them dry and brittle. Luckily this one is not waterproof, so it will keep your lashes strong and healthy. For that extra bit of oomph coat the topside and underside of your lashes and apply from the base to the tips using full strokes. Available for £14.50 at HQ Hair.
