Dumb Blonde Shampoo

Friday, August 10th, 2007

Dumb Blonde ShampooBeing called a dumb blonde can sometimes be quite offensive, but having a whole range of products named after us can’t be a bad thing can it. This Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo has got a lot to offer. It’s not only for blondes but for red heads and brunettes too and can be used on any hair type in need of repair. It’ll leave your locks feeling soft and luxurious.

With built in UV protection, it prolongs all hair colours and will give mega moisture. Leaving your hair smelling of exotic fruits, it’ll remind you of those summer months (which we’re seeing very few of!), and with winter on its way this may be just what you need. Follow with Dumb Blonde reconstructor for best results.

Available for an affordable £8.90.

Bed Head After Party

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

Bed Head After PartyI cannot tell you how glad I am that the smoking ban has finally come into place. Whenever I used to come home from a pub or club my hair would stink like an ash tray and really put me off wanting to go out again. I was so grateful for my Bed Head After Party Smoothing Cream, it really helped take away the foul smell and put a bit of moisture back into my hair.

Now that my hair doesn’t smell so bad when I come back from a night out, I don’t have to use the product as much. However if you still visit environments that are smoky such as family or friends houses then I highly recommend this product. Not only does it help take the smell away, it also gives the hair a bit of a lift, tackles fly-aways and makes it look all round much healthier.

Available at HQ Hair for £11.75.

Bed Head Self Absorbed

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007

Bed Head Self AbsorbedIf you have really fine hair that gets oily quite quickly then this product is for you. It was recommended to me by a friend who has to wash her hair every day in order for it to look clean and healthy. She said that Bed Head Self Absorbed works like a dream for her because it keeps her hair looking less greasy for longer.

The product is a shampoo with vitamins A, B, D and E, it also contains a tiny amount of conditioner so hair is properly nourished without the strain of a normal heavier conditioner. Many people who suffer from greasy hair think that cutting out conditioner all together will solve the problem, however, this is not the case – hair still needs to be properly cared for and conditioner formula contains the nutrients we need.

Is Bed Head Self Absorbed the best shampoo for oily hair? Let me know if you have found one that you think works better. Bed Head Self Absorbed can be bought from HQ Hair for just £6.70.

Control Freak Super Straight Hair

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Bed Head Control FreakIf you need a head start on your straightners or fear that heat styling is causing too much damage then this little product could come in handy. It is a liquid foam that you run through your locks while still wet then comb through evenly. The product is activated by heat so when you begin to blow dry it will begin to smooth and straighten your hair.

I found that in order for the product to work successfully you need to have semi-straight hair to begin with, if you have curly hair this product is not for you! It also works well as a syrem, smoothing away frizzy ends and giving a much sleeker appearance.

I would recommend using Control Freak with Bed Head Headrush, you’ll get a super shiny finish and the smells compliment each other nicely.

Are You a Dumb Blonde?

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

Bed Head Dumb BlondeThis reconstructor for highlighted, damaged or chemically treated hair is perfect if you have put your hair through a lot of colour treatment or stress over the years. The conditioner is packed with proteins and helps repair the damage that colour unfortunately causes.

The only thing I didn’t like about the product was the smell; unlike other leading hair products that smell of chocolate or fruits, I thought it smelt a little like plasticine which put me off a bit.

Aside from this the product does work pretty well and leaves hair feeling soft and conditioned. It is called Dumb Blonde and is made by TIGI Bed Head, available at HQ Hair for just £12.65.

Chocolate Head – How Yummy :)

Friday, April 13th, 2007

Bed Head Chocolate HeadI made the mistake of colouring my hair from a very early age and using hair straightners quite often therefore my hair tends to be quite dry and damaged. A hair dresser at my old salon recommended Bed Head Chocolate Head to me so I bought some and tried it out.

To be honest I expected a little more from the product, the label suggests it restores and deeply conditions dry, damaged or chemically treated hair but I didn’t really see a dramatic change. I would recommend using this product sparsely, maybe just once or twice a week. I made the mistake of using it every night and I think my hair got too used to the treatment.

Even if this product doesn’t do anything for your hair it is worth buying just for the smell of it; it’s gorgeous, I almost wanted to eat it! Better still, your hair will have a delightful hint of chocolate to it for days afterwards. You can buy Chocolate Head from HQ Hair for just £9.85, give it a go just for the smell of it!

TIGI Bed Head Ego Boost Conditioner

Monday, April 2nd, 2007

Bed Head Ego BoostIf you have split ends or dry damaged hair then Ego Boost could be your dream come true. This nourishing leave-in conditioner can be applied after shampooing and should not be washed out. I used this product a year or so ago when my hair looked and felt damaged due to too much bleach in my hair and Ego Boost made it feel much better. It also helps protect against hair drying damage, brushing and straighteners.

The product is part of the popular Bed Head range from Tigi and costs £10.80 according to the Tigi Website however depending on where you shop it may retail for slightly more. Currently available at Kudos Cosmetics for £10.20.
