Glitter Spray is Back!

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Fekkai Hair CrystalsWhen I was younger I used to love those glitter sprays you could get for your hair. Sadly though there came a time when my mum got a bit fed up of it – it used to end up everywhere – pillows, clothes, the sofa…and it just wasn’t cool anymore, which is of course used to be crucially important, and then it disappeared into obscurity

Excitingly though, you can now buy a grown up version! Fekkai is an American company who are the go-to stylists for many Hollywood A-Listers (or so they claim!). Their Spray On Hair Crystals will give your hair an all over shimmer, perfect for a quick spritz to take your hair from day to evening. Hair Crystals are available in three shades: Champagne, Copper and Bronze so they’ll blend into all different hair colours , or try and couple to create your own shade.

The spray also contains Panthenol, will soften your hair making it perfect for styling and prevent the stickiness that sprays can give. So if you fancy a bit of childhood regression without the mess, then head over to HQ Hair, where you can get a can of Fekkai Hair Crystals for £15.

No More Knots with the Tangle Teezer

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

Tangle TeezerMy hair is quite short at the moment but when it was longer I always had trouble with knots. Not only did it hurt when I brushed them through but my hair would break and become thinner and thinner. My friend who is a hairdresser has just been telling me about the Tangle Teezer, she says she uses it all the time and it makes such a difference to the condition of her hair.

The brush was invented by celebrity colourist Shaun P who has 30 years experience in the hair care business and it won a competition in 2007 (Frizz Magazine’s Dream Factory Innovation of the Year).

By using this product you can apparently decrease splitting dramatically, the brush even de-tangles wet hair with little effort. If you suffer from tangled hair give it a go and let us know how you got on! The brush costs £9.99 and is available to order online at HQ Hair.

Grow Hair Faster With FAST!

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

FAST Shampoo and ConditionerHave you had your hair cut off and so wished you hadn’t? I did it last year. In a mad moment I said to my hairdresser just cut it off, so she did! My neat, shoulder-length bob was transformed into a short, cropped style which I liked at the time, but it soon grew out of style and I regretted having the snip. I looked on the Internet to find something, anything that would make it grow; I didn’t find anything and have had to wait months for it to grow out.

This product caught my eye so I thought I should share it with any of you who are looking for the same thing. FAST is a product to increase hair growth on existing hair, it isn’t a hair loss product. It claims that if you use the product every day, and your hair normally grows 1 inch per month, using this it will grow 1½ inches per month. Over 6 months that’s an extra 3 inches of luscious long hair!! They say that it works on all hair types, on both men and women and can be used with any other hair products. I am interested to hear if this really does work; let me know!!

Snag Free Pony Elastics

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

Snag Free Pony ElasticsSnag free hair bobbles yeah right! Whenever I tie my hair up with a bobble and try to take it out a whole clump of hair comes with it. No matter how carefully I try to take them out, there will also be strands of hair hanging off the band. They are commonly used by well known hair stylists and as described on HQ Hair ‘they virtually glide off your hair when removed’, and they really do. They come in packs of eight and are available in clear, black or brown. For only £2.65, there’s a bargain for you.
