VO5 Perfect Lengths Range

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

VO5 Perfect Lengths RangeIf like me, you have long, naturally wavy hair then the new Perfect Lengths range from VO5 could be just what you need to gain control back of your locks. I don’t know how I survived without my straighteners but using them every day for the last 5 or 6 years has damaged my hair and I find it a lot harder to control it now than when I first started using them – probably because my hair’s so used to them that it doesn’t straighten as well as it did at first.

I’ve tried new straighteners but, as any experienced straightener knows, they’re pretty expensive to keep replacing. So this Perfect Lengths range is a great way of reviving long hair for use with straighteners; prep your hair with one of the styling products (the range includes high gloss finishing crème, styling mousse, detangling crème and shine serum mist) then simply blow dry and straighten as usual. The products contain a keratin straightening complex to help strengthen and protect. I tend to use them every so often and not every day – just when you feel your hair needs it, that way your locks won’t become too used to the product.

The styling products are all £2.99 each (far cheaper than a new pair of straighteners!) and there is also shampoo and conditioner available for £2.19 each.

Take the VO5 hair test to find out which products are best suited for your hair.

Sunsilk - Which One Are You?

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

Sunsilk RangeWhen the Sunsilk range first hit the shops I was a little sceptical about buying because to be honest, the cheesy American TV adverts put me off a bit. However, while walking into Boots I saw the range on the shelf and was amazed at how cheap the products actually are. If they do what they said they do every girl should have luscious locks!

I like the fact they have created something for everybody, no matter what condition your hair is in there is a product you can use. I bought the Sunsilk Anti-flat volumising cream and must say it does give my hair a bit more volume – combined with blow drying upside down!

They have also made there packaging really appealing; each colour means a different hair condition; I am blue – flat and lifeless. What colour are you?

L’Oreal Because You’re Worth It

L’Oreal LogoL’Oreal has been right on the mark with its advertising campaign with the likes of Penelope Cruise, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston and Eva Longoria fronting their TV adverts. My personal favourite is Penelope Cruise, I love the way she says ‘Go On, Because you’re Worth It’ in her beautiful Spanish accent.

Also I must say that I much prefer the ads now they use the phrase ‘Because You’re Worth It’ rather than ‘Because I’m Worth It’, in my opinion it makes the celebrities seem so much nicer and less stuck up. I’m a big fan of L’Oreal Elvive shampoo and conditioners; they make my hair feel and smell so great.
