Pamper your dry, damaged hair with this fabulous shampoo and conditioner that I found on QVC. My hair is hi-lighted and I use straighteners every day, so gets quite dry, especially on the longer bits at the front. This product really caught my eye as it contains 100% pure Ojon oil from the tropical Ojon tree found in the tropical forests of Central America. Apparently, The Tawira Indians from this region have used this oil for centuries and they have been nicknamed “the people of beautiful hair”, so I thought I must give it a try!

Mixed with shea butter and sweet almond protein it hydrates your luscious locks to restore moisture and shine and I found it made my hair much more manageable and easier to de-tangle! Both shampoo and conditioner have a lovely light, nutty fragrance which lasts for ages.

It isn’t cheap at £34 plus P&P, but you only need a small amount so it will last for ages!

Have you got hair that’s lost its volume? Do you feel your hair has got too thin and you cant do anything with it? Well…..now u can! This cool product from Bed Head will increase volume and create fuller, shinier locks. It is a volumising mouse that comes in a fine spray and is to be used on wet hair, it even has a built-in heat protector for blowdrying and heat styling.

It comes in a plum colour can, not too attractive but it really does the job. I can’t really give my opinion on this product as I am always complaining that my hair being too thick, but for those of you with fine hair that long for thicker hair, give this product a go. The leave-in treatment will build a protective barrier around your hair so your locks will look as if you’ve just had a trip to the salon. This is the perfect way to give dull hair that extra boost, and if you use regularly you can protect your hair from everyday damage. Simply apply the product to towel dry hair and leave it in (don’t rinse!). Available from Look Fantastic for £8.60.

Treat Me Right is yet another must have product from Bed Head. It is found under the conditioners section but it is actually an intensive hair mask that is going to create silky and shiny hair and can be used on all hair types. It not only works wonders on your hair but it refreshes your scalp as well. This hair mask has a yummy peppermint scent so it will leave your locks looking and smelling gorgeous.

It’s not just your skin and body you have to look after, you have to take care of your hair as well, unfortunately the sun and winter weather does more damage than we realise and you won’t actually notice the difference straight away. As you get older, when you’re trying to look younger is when the effects will take their toll. So the label Treat Me Right says it all. Available at HQ Hair for £12.05.

Tigi just keep on launching wonderful products and usually they’re exactly what we’re all after. This flat iron shine spray is a heat defender and does exactly what the label says. When you’re going to use your straighteners to iron out your hair, this product will protect your hair from heat damage; it will also nourish your hair and add super shine.

I have really curly hair and I hate it so I’m always straightening it, but we all know doing this too often does a lot of damage to your hair so we need to protect it as much as possible. Charles Worthington really does some great products; this Maximum Shine Serum has got to be one of their better buys. Ever feel that even though you’ve just washed your hair it doesn’t have that shine you were after? This serum not only adds a glossy shine but keeps those fly aways at bay as well. It also has a built in UV filter to protect your locks from the sunshine.

With summer finally here and summer holidays to look forward to for those lucky few, you will be needing to take extra care with those locks as we don’t want to go into winter with sun damaged, brittle hair! The best way to do this is to try and avoid UV rays getting to your hair, as it will dry it out especially if you have highlighted or bleached hair! The only way to successfully do this is to sit inside all day or to wear a hat (I advise the latter!)
