If you’re in the mood to give your hair a bit of TLC then dig into your pockets and purchase a conditioning mask to give dull locks a little lift. I love this Shear Splendor mask available at HQ Hair. It not only makes your hair feel fabulous but also helps repair and restore hair from within the shaft.
The product contains peptides, soy and botanical butter base, instantly helping dry and damaged hair look and feel soft, shiny and fabulous. This mask costs £18 but I recommend it over others, it tends to last quite a long time too as you don’t need a lot to get you locks back into shape!

Pamper your dry, damaged hair with this fabulous shampoo and conditioner that I found on QVC. My hair is hi-lighted and I use straighteners every day, so gets quite dry, especially on the longer bits at the front. I like QVC for beauty products as you can try them out and if you don’t like them for any reason, you can return them within 30 days and they will give you a full refund; you can’t go wrong!!
This product really caught my eye as it contains 100% pure Ojon oil from the tropical Ojon tree found in the tropical forests of Central America. Apparently, The Tawira Indians from this region have used this oil for centuries and they have been nicknamed “the people of beautiful hair”, so I thought I must give it a try!
Mixed with shea butter and sweet almond protein it hydrates your luscious locks to restore moisture and shine and I found it made my hair much more manageable and easier to de-tangle! Both shampoo and conditioner have a lovely light, nutty fragrance which lasts for ages.
It isn’t cheap at £34 plus P&P, but you only need a small amount so it will last for ages!

If your hair is looking a little worse for wear after colouring and heat styling then you need to put the life back into it. I had very damaged hair and my hairdresser advised me to try Kerastase Forcintense 5 step program.
It’s a deep conditioning treatment to help reconstruct damaged hair leaving it with new found elasticity and shine. It really worked for me and left my hair in the best condition it has ever been in, and after going very blonde recently I am definitely in need of this wonder product again.
You can buy Kerastase Forcintense from Luxuryhaircare.co.uk for £19.40

Often when women get to a certain age their hair seems to thin and they search for products to regain younger, fuller hair. Even some of us youngsters have thin, wispy locks and yearn for thicker hair. We try volumising sprays, which are good on the day you use it, but as soon as you’ve washed your hair, your back to the same old look.
This expert hair loss treatment is for everyone; if your hair is thin due to old age, simply fine or just slow growing. This product will encourage thicker hair, as well as more of it. It has taken researchers seven years of clinical trials to come up with this spray and results show that 80% of testers have found it to be successful. The product is available from Boots for £19.99, but you must be patient as it can take up to 3 months for results to be seen.

Superficial from Bed Head is a must for colour treated hair, it is a smoothing liquid that will leave your hair silky and shiny. This highly concentrated formula will mend those ragged ends and will leave your hair with a diamond like shine. To be used on wet hair and style as normal, it will also cut down your drying time and help damaged hair regain its natural appearance.
Superficial can be used on all hair types and its strawberry lemonade fragrance will leave your locks smelling lush! Use this product to give your hair that just-washed look, leaving it looking healthy, shiny and silky smooth. I was first drawn to this product because of its bright purple colour and funky bottle. Currently available at Amazon.co.uk for £10.49.

Treat Me Right is yet another must have product from Bed Head. It is found under the conditioners section but it is actually an intensive hair mask that is going to create silky and shiny hair and can be used on all hair types. It not only works wonders on your hair but it refreshes your scalp as well. This hair mask has a yummy peppermint scent so it will leave your locks looking and smelling gorgeous.
It’s not just your skin and body you have to look after, you have to take care of your hair as well, unfortunately the sun and winter weather does more damage than we realise and you won’t actually notice the difference straight away. As you get older, when you’re trying to look younger is when the effects will take their toll. So the label Treat Me Right says it all. Available at HQ Hair for £12.05.

Pantene really do cater for all hair types and colours. This intensive conditioning mask is from the smooth and sleek range and is a treatment to be used to turn dry, straight or wavy hair into gorgeous smooth and silky hair all day long. There is a lot of controversy as to whether these products actually do as the labels say but I have used quite a few of Pantene’s products and I think they work great.
I have always been really pleased with the outcome, so I think I will have to try one of these masks as well. They are available on the Pantene Pro-V Website and are sold in most supermarkets. Unlike many salon based products, these are usually sold at affordable prices.

I have recently discovered HQHair.com, a hair and beauty store that sells everything for hair, nails, make-up and accessories. It even sells items for your home and electrical appliances. This leave in treatment known as Vivagen is manufactured by Redken. It is for fine or lifeless hair and gives enrichment to your locks that will encourage a fuller and more volumised appearance.
Sometimes my hair can seem quite lifeless so I’m definitely going to try one of these treatments to see what difference it makes; I’m always one for trying something new. Also available in the same range is the Redken shampoo and a hair cleansing cream, which are both recommended to be used for best results. It costs £20.75 for a 150ml bottle and is available from hqhair.com.
