If your hair is looking a little worse for wear after colouring and heat styling then you need to put the life back into it. I had very damaged hair and my hairdresser advised me to try Kerastase Forcintense 5 step program.
It’s a deep conditioning treatment to help reconstruct damaged hair leaving it with new found elasticity and shine. It really worked for me and left my hair in the best condition it has ever been in, and after going very blonde recently I am definitely in need of this wonder product again.
You can buy Kerastase Forcintense from Luxuryhaircare.co.uk for £19.40

I imagine the majority of ladies will be praying to get their hands on GHD’s fabulous new gift set marketed as the Christmas Giftbox. The gold packaging alone is enough to make most of us drool! This fab new package contains the GHD IV Styler, a cute GHD Metallic Clutch Bag (heat resistant of course), GHD Metallic Purse for your make-up essentials, a GHD mirror, GHD Thermo Protector mini version and a Thermodynamics Creation Spray also mini.
I know its highly unlikely considering the discussion points of this blog but if there are any male readers looking for something for their girlfriends this Christmas, look no further… this is the ultimate must have, in my books anyway!
The gift set costs £149 and can be bought from HQ Hair, more information available on GHD’s official website.

Well what can I say, is there any marketing pie Jordan doesn’t want to get her finger in to?? She’s done it all, jewellery, accessories and now hair care!
I personally think the new range looks as tacky as I would expect anything sold by her too look like, but I haven’t tried and tested for quality purposes, so if you are a fan of hers - which I’m clearly not, then give her the benefit of the doubt and try these new products.
They might work well, I can’t imagine they’re going to the job that top salon products do, but it may be worth giving them ago for the price alone.
Superdrug is currently stocking the range and the have curling tongs for £12.99, a hairdryer with attachments for £19.99 and a sleek pair of straightners for £19.99. It appears from the Superdrug website that the hairdryer is currently out of stock so someone out there must be loving it!! You can check out each product in the range either on line or pop down to your nearest Superdrug to see for yourself.

Adding a fringe to your hairstyle is the most dramatic way to change your look other than going for a full on chop. You just need to look at the pictures of Kate Moss to see how a fringe can change your face shape and flatter your bone structure. Kate’s heavy fringe is not for everyone, her killer cheek bones are not swamped by such a style but there are plenty of variations on the theme so there is something to suit all face shapes.
If you feel brave enough to go for a full on blunt fringe you can take inspiration from the likes of Lilly Allen and Sarah Harding but sweeping fringes like Nicole Richie or light wispy fringes like Jennifer Aniston’s are great for those just wanting to soften the face a bit and are much better if you suffer from greasy skin on your forehead. Check out some pictures of celebs with different face shapes and different style fringes. You can see what works and go to your hairdresser with a good idea in mind of what you want.

Alice bands are a cool way to accessorize your hair this winter! I personally remember wearing them when I was about 5, which is a bit strange, but if you’re a real girly girl you will love this look!
I have taken the time to search for the best Alice bands a girl can buy and if you’re a bit of a designer chick you will love this coral patent leather Alice band by Miu Miu; the colour is sooo gorgeous and just to show everyone that it is Miu Miu, their name has been embellished on the side in gold! Cute! So if you fancy splashing out, this headband can be purchased from net a porter for £55 and also comes in black, perfect to match those patent black platforms that everyone has this season!
If your on a bit more of a budget why not try Accessorize?! They have a fab collection of Alice bands, here’s one of my favourites, for £8 you just can’t go wrong!

Well, what can I say, Kate Moss is certainly spreading herself out across the fashion industry. Not only does she have her own clothes and perfume ranges, she has now designed a new hair care range as part of James Brown London. This is just one of her products and it is an intensive hair mask.
The mask has a formula rich in Vitamins and Shea butter. It is a great treatment for your hair and scalp that will keep it sleek and moisturised. It should be used once a week for best results, then comb through dry or recently washed hair, leave for 10 minutes then rinse and wash. This is just the start of the eagerly awaited hair care range inspired by Kate moss. Available from Boots for just £7.99, or to find out more visit www.jamesbrownlondon.com.

Often when women get to a certain age their hair seems to thin and they search for products to regain younger, fuller hair. Even some of us youngsters have thin, wispy locks and yearn for thicker hair. We try volumising sprays, which are good on the day you use it, but as soon as you’ve washed your hair, your back to the same old look.
This expert hair loss treatment is for everyone; if your hair is thin due to old age, simply fine or just slow growing. This product will encourage thicker hair, as well as more of it. It has taken researchers seven years of clinical trials to come up with this spray and results show that 80% of testers have found it to be successful. The product is available from Boots for £19.99, but you must be patient as it can take up to 3 months for results to be seen.

No longer do we have to sit under heat lamps at our local salon for our hair to stay curly. Bed Head Uptight is a heat activated product with the purpose of revitalising naturally curly or permed hair. All you have to do is spray on whilst hair is damp, then apply your normal styling products and blow dry as normal.
It will leave you with stylish ringlets or sexy waves depending on how you style your hair. It can be used on any length hair and is a long lasting formula. This product will make you go from hating your hair to a curl maker, making you love your locks. Available from at HQ Hair for just £7.65.

You may already have curling tongs, but trust me you’ll want a set of these Babyliss you Curl! For me, trying to use a normal straightening iron to curl my hair is an absolute nightmare, everyone says “its as easy as curling a ribbon with a pair of scissors” yeah right! I’ve only ever known hairdressers or people studying hair, to be able to do it that way.
For the likes of you and me that haven’t got the first clue, we need these. You just run them through your hair like a normal straightener, but the curved plates will leave you with loose, sexy waves. So much easier than going to the salon. This video demonstrates how it is done and we might even stand a chance of doing the back bits with these. Currently available at Amazon.co.uk for £39.99.

Now here is a genius product if ever I’ve seen one; instead of having to take a trip back to the hairdressers every six weeks you can now buy this amazing product. For those of you who have high lights, this is a must have. Now your salon visit can be put on hold and instead of paying out between £30 and £60 at a salon you can buy this Hi Lights Hair Mascara for just $20.
Simply sweep the brush through the strands of hair that you want to highlight, from the root to the tip, wait for it to dry and then brush it to blend it in for that salon worthy look. It just washes out too so you can try it if you have never had high lights to see what it would look like.
Available from Neiman Marcus.
