Last year after coming back from holiday I found that my hair was very dry and damaged, being a sun worshipper I sit out all day long; probably not doing my hair any good. So this year I told myself I wasn’t going to go away on holiday without some treatment for my hair and I was advised to get this Aveda After-Sun Treatment Masque. Being a treatment masque it immediately attracted me as I like the idea of putting something thicker than shampoo or a leave in conditioner on my hair.
The intensive masque contains sunflower oil and vitamin B it certainly manages to put protein back into the hair, moisturises and acts as a defence against sunlight. I used it every few days on holiday after shampooing and conditioning applying it from root to tip; I left it for 2-5 mins then rinsed it all out. I must say it smelt delicious and certainly did the trick as my hair stayed conditioned, people even commented on my hair asking why it didn’t look dry!
As it is suitable for all hair types there seems to be nothing stopping you, at £15.00 you can purchase this direct from Aveda.co.uk.

If your locks are looking a bit dull and you’re fed up of the same old hair style and color, add a bit of vibrance with some flash extensions.
These are great because you can pop them in for a night out to go with your outfit or to spice up a simple dress. The extensions are 16 inches long and you can choose from a variety of colours from Swedish blonde to dark turquoise.
At Hair Extension Snow they can be purchased for £3.99 and next day delivery is possible. They also have larger packs of wavy or straight hair some with a clip-in option. These are more expensive (from £27.99 - £49.99) so if its just a splash of colour you’re after these £3.99 flash extensions are probably the better choice.

My hair is quite short at the moment but when it was longer I always had trouble with knots. Not only did it hurt when I brushed them through but my hair would break and become thinner and thinner. My friend who is a hairdresser has just been telling me about the Tangle Teezer, she says she uses it all the time and it makes such a difference to the condition of her hair.
The brush was invented by celebrity colourist Shaun P who has 30 years experience in the hair care business and it won a competition in 2007 (Frizz Magazine’s Dream Factory Innovation of the Year).
By using this product you can apparently decrease splitting dramatically, the brush even de-tangles wet hair with little effort. If you suffer from tangled hair give it a go and let us know how you got on! The brush costs £9.99 and is available to order online at HQ Hair.

While flicking through my weekly magazine at work I came across a product by Tommy Guns that I simply had to try out! It is pomegranate & orange flower shampoo and smells absolutely beautiful in my opinion. It is a daily shampoo that is extra gentle for those of you that have sensitive skin. It is full of antioxidants and contains a shine boosting formula that really makes your hair look healthy and feel fabulous.
The shampoo really cleanses your hair and scalp and you’ll feel totally revitalised. If the shampoo takes your fancy you may also be interested in the Pomegranate Orange Flower & Hemp Conditioner, it is also gentle enough for daily use and can be used on all hair types. The hemp in the conditioner smooths and moisturises and the orange Flower helps bring out your hairs natural shine.
Both the shampoo and conditioner are available at Boots for £4.99 each, you can also check out the Tommy Guns website for more information.

The newest addition to my hair care products is the Shockwaves Boost It - Spray, Moose, and Hair spray. I do try to have my hair looking as full and boosted as possible and I have found this latest product to be very good at doing so!
There are a lot of products in the range, the moose and the spray are both equally as good, and I just had to have both. Apply the moose from root to tip and it instantly hardens your hair making it easier to play with when blow drying. You are able to use your large rounded brush to really lift the hair and dry into place. My hair is quite long so I do struggle with the weight of my hair, this moose manages to overcome this problem and add the boost that I need.
Once finished blow drying the Boost It Hair Spray is very good at giving that extra body with the staying power your hair needs! Until I bought these products I used various things and didn’t really do much for my hair, now I have found this range I know my hair will be boosted!
You can buy these products from Superdrug.

If your hair needs a little lift then I highly recommend the Kerastase Resistance Volumactive Expansion Spray. You apply from root to tip for best results and watch your hair become full and amplified! The product was originally bought for me as a birthday gift and now I don’t go away without it.
My hair is naturally quite flat and lifeless so this is exactly what it needs, I have tried other similar volumizing products such as the Sun Silk range but the Kerastase definitely works best for me. My hair is always left looking soft and shiny - just as it should!
This fab product is available at HQ Hair for just £13.35

I’m a big fan on Tigi haircare especially the Bed Head products so I was thrilled to see that a new collection had been added to the Bed Head range. Superstar consists of several luxurious products including Thermal blow-dry lotion, Volumizing Hairspray, Volumizing Leave in Conditioner, Superstar shampoo and conditioner and Queen For A Day.
All the bottles are pink and purple - the ultimate girly collection and all reasonably priced (most under £10 per bottle). I must have made my way through the whole Bed Head collection so I am very pleased they have launched these fab new products!
The products would make ideal gifts for friends and are all available at HQ Hair to buy now.

Is it also available in black and this does come in two different sizes medium like the pink and large with the diameter as 32mm – 19mm. If you are a little unimpressed with your hair at the moment and feel it needs some umph, there are plenty of new products in the shops to boost your hair and bring back a bit of life to it! There is a great range by TIGI called S Factor which has all sorts of new products including booster sprays, hairspray and silky smooth serums.
I was looking for something that could give my hair a little more volume; the Body Booster Plumping Spray does just that. I even give a quick spritz to dry hair it refreshes and heightens hair, being handbag size a great idea if you’re on the move and need to boost your look!
